For the person who has everything. Circa 1955, this amazing tankard was designed by Fred Zimbalist, a cousin of Ephrem Zimbalist, Sr. (the famed concert violinist).
Silver pieces such as this one were all Hand tooled in India and no two were exactly the same.
Brass with silver nickel plating, features beautiful ornate tooling and a 2 tune 28 note Thorens musical mechanism playing "Funiculi, Funicula" and "Santa Lucia" when the stein is lifted. It measures approximately 12" high x 5 1/4" in diameter.
The image does not do this piece justice. It will not disappoint! It is even decorated on the inside of its lid. It will surely be a conversation piece where ever it is placed and/or an extraordinary addition to your collection.
It has a bit of written provenance to it and original Zimbalist papers (mini brochure) Image is watermarked to prevent copying. For further information, please don't hesitate to call us
