Detailed Description:
Premiering in London in 1981, Cats won seven Tony Awards in 1983 after it opened on Broadway. Based on the book Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, Cats also includes several poems by Eliot that were previously unpublished, including 'Grizabella: The Glamour Cat'. A departure for Webber, Cats was one of the first projects where he created compositions around previously created lyrics.

All albums by this company include professionally recorded guide vocals. Each song appears on the album twice: once with music and vocals, and once with accompaniment tracks alone. This allows the performer to learn a song by singing along with the vocals and music, then to practice their technique accompanied only by the background tracks.
This album is recorded in CD, not CD+G format. There are no on-screen lyrics or lyric booklet provided.
