Vintage Reuge footed musical box with six scenes, lock and key playing four melodies on 50 notes under a glass window to view the vintage musical movement when you lift its lid.
It measures 8 inches x 5 inches and stands just short of 4 inches high, It boasts a charmingly graceful slightly domed cabinet and it's 4.50 Reuge movement in mint condition, plays the 'Allegro," "Minuet" and "Romance" from Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" and the "Minuet" from his "Don Juan."
This is a "keeper" and will be an interesting piece wherever it is placed and/or a lovely addition to a collection.
It's cabinet shows its age with crazing of the material used for the scenes which went unnoticed when we agreed to purchase it, but still lovely. This price with the box is less than the amount we are selling comparable raw movements. It is an exceptional value.
